South Jersey Home Owners Reimagine Everything Starting with their New Pool Plans

From space to line to shape and pattern, the design for their outdoor living plan became the template for a complete renovation of their home.

We often talk about how the best outdoor living plans start with the pool. We also stress styling your outdoor design to harmonize with the home’s architectural design and features. In this case, however, the owners started with the pool and its immediate surroundings. The plan is now proceeding in stages to a remodeling of the house.

Living well at home from inside to outside

Their goal was to create a space for outdoor living that harmonizes with the changes they had made inside their home. The owners gave their designer, Chris Volk, complete freedom to reimagine the entire outdoor space from the yard to the home’s exterior.

He would take his cues from what they had already accomplished on the inside. The interior is a tasteful blend of eastern and western traditions. He describes it as a formal yet contemporary feel. Traditions made modern. Repeated patterns that capture attention, create excitement, yet provide a symmetry that calms as much as it excites.

Building better and smarter with a phased plan

Luxury design becomes a long-term bargain when done with care and purpose. When your planning helps you look into the future, you can create a master plan executed in phases. It’s the sort of plan that allows your dreams to develop over time—even improve. Your project makes building less hectic, gives your budget room to breathe. Done right, a good plan even makes for easier maintenance.
